About the event
Folkestone Book Group @ Keppels was established in February 2024.The group has unfailingly met (Zoom or otherwise) every month since March 2018.We are now resident in the splendid new home of Keppels, thanks to the benevolence of the team @ Keppels Bar.
We meet on the second Thursday of every month from 7.30 - 9.00 pm within the magical candlelit ambience of Keppels @ The Grand, CT20 2XL.
FBG@Keppels has 142 members on our mailing list and 117 participants within our private Facebook page.We are not an academic group and celebrate the 'hi - lo', unafraid to tackle Booker nominations, classics or the latest mainstream best selling authors.
If you love reading, you are more than welcome to join us. There is no annual charge, but members are expected to buy refreshments or snacks from the bar during our time @ Keppels.
Members are requested to source their own books and parking is currently free outside The Grand.Please contact FBG facilitator, Stuart Sheach, if you would like to join our merry band of literary warriors.
