About the event
A brand new, town-wide craft beer festival that celebrates independent breweries and venues. Folkestone Tap Takeover will see spaces around Folkestone and Sandgate showcase breweries from across the UK (and possibly beyond) on their taps for the weekend.
This festival aims to showcase the brilliant venues we have in this town. We want to bring people to Folkestone, and encourage them to move around the town and explore!
WHAT IS A TAP TAKEOVER?It’s when a venue gives over their taps (or a large proportion of them) to a single brewery. This can be across cask, keg or a mix of both. We've invited a wide range of pubs and bars to be part of this event, so there should be something for everyone!
WHO IS ORGANISING THIS?A group of beer loving friends who all live in Folkestone: Lee and Lauren from The Beer Shop Folkestone, James and Helen from Iron Pier Brewery and beer enthusiasts Sean and Jeannine who run the Instagram account Hoppy Matrimony.
